We recently had Stake Conference and watched video clips from Elder Bednars recent talk, "To sweep the earth as with a flood." One idea that came to me was to do a blog about reading the Book Of Mormon. I have loved following BOFM365 on instagram. Here is the story of how it started, "One evening in December 2013, Ben Prince, a medical student living in Phoenix, said to his wife, Chelsea, “We should start an Instagram account that helps people stay on track to read the Book of Mormon in 2014.” A few days later, the idea kept pressing on Ben’s mind and he mentioned it to his wife again. “The more we talked about it, the more excited we got,” says Chelsea. “We imagined that it would be awesome if maybe 100 people would follow and read together. … If anything, it would be great to have something to help our family stay on track to read the Book of Mormon.”
On January 1, the Prince family launched the Instagram account @BofM365 by posting a passage of scripture to read, along with a thought-provoking question to answer in the Comments section " .I have loved following bom365 on Instagram but wished it was in blog form so my family and friends who don't have instagram could follow along too. I contacted Chelsea about starting a blog and she was so kind about letting me use her content. They are creating a book with daily reading assignments, questions, and many of the comments posted from each day. I will keep you posted when the book is available for purchase. I hope you will accept this challenge to read the Book of Mormon in 2015. I know doing the bofm365 challenge has been life changing for me. One of my favorite parts of the reading was reading others comments people shared. I hope you will take the time to comment after you have read. I love this talk by Elder Perry from the October 2005 general conference about reading the Book of Mormon.
Any suggestions how we would start as of today. We would like to start at the beginning. Thanks for your help,
