What do you think it means to offer a sacrifice of "a broken heart and a contrite spirit"? What blessings does the Savior promise to those who come unto Him with a broken heart and a contrite spirit?
I was struck by the Savior's heartfelt plea in verse 13 "will ye not now return unto me, and repent of your sins, and be converted, that I may heal you?" Perhaps this was said with His suffering in Gethsemane fresh in His mind.
