Great article from the Ensign. I liked the example of King David inquiring of the Lord on 2 different occasions about leading his people into war, and he received a different answer each time. The other thing that is interesting to me in today's reading is that Alma did not ask the Lord a simple "yes or no" question. In fact, the use of the word "whither" in verse 5 is not perfectly clear. Does it mean "if" or does it mean "where"? Either way, the answer to the inquiry is not simpy "yes or no."

ReplyDeleteAsking friends on FB is not wrong, but we certainly shouldn't forget to put ourtrust in the Lord's answer after asking.
