A Living Testimony
This, in my opinion, is one of the most entertaining passages in all the scriptures. I mean, just imagine, when Ammon came in and basically asked, "What can I do for you?" The king was so amazed that he didn't say anything for an hour. If you picture this exchange, it's pretty funny...and awkward.
ReplyDeleteAfter Ammon discerns King Lamoni's thoughts, the king tells him he will give him ANYTHING if he tells him by what power Ammon does all these things. This is a huge opportunity for Ammon!! If he were looking at this as a career opportunity, he could have gotten the keys to the kingdom if he wanted.
Instead, what was the one thing Ammon wanted from the him? For Lamoni to receive his testimony. What a great example Ammon is to us. He cleary had "an eye single to the glory of God" and his sole purpose in life was to do God's will.
Great comment!! Thanks for sharing, I always love learning from you.
