  1. President Hinckley was the Prophet of my childhood. I love his attitude, demeanor, and personality. He was my idol! When he died in January of 2008, I was so sad! It didn't matter who the new prophet was going to be, I was still going to miss him and his talks.

Before the April 2008 conference, I prayed for confirmation that the new prophet called was of God. That confirmation happened during the Priesthood Session of conference. During President Monson's talk entitled, "Examples of Righteousness" (the one where he wiggled his ears), the Spirit bore strong testimony to me that President Monson is a Prophet of God.

I knew for sure then as I know now the President Monson is a prophet of God. It gives me such peace and comfort knowing that we are led by a true prophet and that if we follow him, things will be alright with us.

    1. I remember feeling the same way when President Hinckley passed away. I am struggling with the fact that this was 7 years ago. Now with Elder Scott passing away, and President Packer, and Elder Perry... this will be a historic conference. What other church upholds living apostles and a prophet?
