A few years ago I was the only person in a group that didn't want to see a particular show. While the rating wasn't out of the boundaries I would typically allow I knew the actors in the film were often times in crude movies. It was awkward to say no...I felt like a teenager again...but I knew it was the right thing to do. The group ultimately respected my wishes but they weren't happy about it and let me know it. The word "nevertheless" is really powerful. (Vs 25) Regardless of the persecutions we face we "nevertheless" stand steadfast and immovable in keeping the commandments. These verses remind us that when we are steadfast in keeping the commandments we prosper.
ReplyDeleteGreat comment. I love what you pointed out in verse 25 about being steadfast and immovable in keeping the commandments. That is a great way to live the commandments.
