  2. I really loved the talk you posted today. Especially this part... "If you believe this in your hearts—if you truly believe the great mission of our Heavenly Father is to exalt and glorify His children and that He knows best how to do it—doesn’t it make sense to embrace and follow His commandments, even the ones that appear difficult? Should we not cherish the light posts He has given that guide us through the darkness and the trials of mortality? They mark the way back to our heavenly home! By choosing Heavenly Father’s path, you lay a divine foundation for your personal progress as a daughter of God that will bless you throughout your life."
I love the beginning where he states, if you truly believe the great mission of our Heavenly Father is to exalt us... It is so powerful because it truly comes down to our thoughts about God. I recently read a book that asked to really think about our view of our Heavenly Father.. do we really view Him as loving and kind, or do we think He is a strict parent that is waiting to punish us. It made me really reflect on my own views and I agree that if I truly believe God is good and loves me and wants what it is best for me then all of a sudden obedience becomes joyful, trials become learning and growing experiences, commandments become a source of safety. I've realized that when I am feeling not as joyful about the gospel or my life it really comes down to my thoughts, and only I have the power to change that.
