17:15 We teach our children the good and make sure they experience the Spirit, so they know to refuse evil.
ReplyDeleteI like this - the Spirit is our "butter and honey"! The sweetness and fullness of the spirit.
DeleteA couple of thoughts from yesterday and today's Isaiah reading. Chap 15:12 "And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine are in their feasts; but they regard not the work of the Lord, neither consider the operation of his hands." This made me think of wearing my headphones all the time and listening to music which takes away my thoughts of the Lord.
ReplyDelete16:13 - "But yet there shall be a tenth, and they shall return, and shall be eaten, as a teil tree, and as an oak whose substance is in them when they cast their leaves; so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof." Teil trees are linden trees. You can use their leaves in salads or grind them up for flour. Those who "return", or be saved, will be the ones who have Christ as their substance; it's who they are. I want my substance to be holy.
