The blessings of the Atonement are available to all. In these verses we are invited to “Come” and the Savior will satisfy our hunger and our thirst. He offers us peace, forgiveness, satisfaction, hope, salvation, everlasting life---all without money and without price. In an article written by Elder Corbridge in the February Ensign, he says “I...want you to understand that the few things that are most important are equally available to all, whatever your circumstances or past..Regarding the few things that matter most in life, no one is disadvantaged or privileged. Everyone is on equal footing. This is surprising because there is otherwise so much inequality in life.” Surely the love of God and our Savior and the blessings of the Atonement are most important--and these priceless gifts are offered freely, if we repent and Come Unto Him.
ReplyDeleteI have a few times in my life when I have been sincerely thirsty. All I could think about was water and nothing else because it was all consuming and I despateTely needed it. I desparately need Christ. In coming unto Him, I need to have that same focus and awareness of my need for Christ. I need to allow His love and light and peace consume and be a part of everything and every choice I make. Like in vs 16--my choices are either for or against Him.
