The Essential Role of Member Missionary Work
the first time I shared my testimony in a non church setting was in high school. A boy had criticized the prophet and asked if I really believed in some "old dude." I remember that experience so vividly. Feeling overwhelmed to say something and shaking because I was mad. I remember standing by my locker testifying that I knew that we had s prophet who led us and told us what God wanted us to know. I remember walking away on good terms and feeling surprised with my boldness. I also realized how much of a conviction I had in our prophet--it was an experience that made me realize that testifying of something strengthens your conviction--because the spirit witnesses the truth to you.
