How can we prepare ourselves like Enos did to receive an answer to our prayers.

Desire. Commitment. Obedience. Love. Willingness to serve. All of these things and more I must have to prepare myself to receive the answer to my prayers. As my soul hungers for certain questions I am more focused, more in tune, and more willing to do whatever I need to to receive that answer to my prayer. Above all we must have Faith in our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ that whatever is done it is their will. I love this set of scripture. What a great reminder of how our relationship with our Heavenly Father should/ can be!
ReplyDeleteEnos said his "soul hungered." There are only a few times in my life I can recall "hungering" as Enos did, even then my hunger was not deep enough to drive me to wrestle in prayer all day and into the night. This seems to be a key to finding answers in prayer, whenever my prayers become hollow and not from the heart are the times when I have lost that hunger.
